How the Region Compares & Peer Region Benchmarks
To illustrate how IMPO and the Central Indiana region are performing on key metrics, it’s important to compare against peer regions that have similar characteristics. These five identified peers were chosen because they of similar size, have similar transportation struggles, and/or have some aspirational qualities. Like Central Indiana, they are each grappling with modernizing their transportation systems, housing affordability concerns, and similar land use patterns. Showcasing these comparisons provides greater insight and context for evaluating the region’s current transportation reality.
