Technical Requirements
INDOT updates to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Title VI requirements in 2025 impact all projects receiving IMPO funding. Local public agencies (LPAs) must submit compliant documentation to INDOT by October 1 each year. The Public Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG) are not yet mandatory, but they represent best practices and are expected to become a requirement once adopted by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) or Department of Justice (DOJ).
