The Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization (IMPO) Local Planning Grant Program funds local public agencies in Central Indiana for studies and planning projects that strengthen community growth, transportation, and resilience. Since 2017, the program has supported 22 plans across 19 agencies, with five more awarded in 2025 for completion in 2026. The program advances projects aligned with the region’s CIRCLE 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan, emphasizing safety, expanded economic opportunity and job access, and proactive planning.
